There are 22.5 million people living with HIV/AIDS in Africa. This disease is deadly, and the stigma that goes with it is almost as bad. Children of parents who are afflicted with HIV/AIDS, often are orphaned at early ages and left all alone to fend for themselves. If we lift our hands to those in need, we can be an extension of Christ, and their days can be lengthened, and their suffering lessened.
In Bundibugyo, Uganda, we identified an amazing group of over 200 people called the HIV/AIDS Fellowship. Integrity Worldwide is committed to help the members of this fellowship through program support and prayer.
Through our Kids for Kids program, the members of the HIV/AIDS Fellowship receive goats, chickens, and cattle. This livestock provides much needed milk, eggs, and meat which supply important nutrients that help improve the Fellowship's overall health.
Through the Seeds of Hope program, we provide many different types of seed. Seed can be planted and harvested several times a year and it gives entire families enough food to eat and it also produces income that helps pay for medicine needed to treat HIV/AIDS.
You can reach out to the HIV/AIDS Fellowship by sending your thoughts, words of encouragement, and prayers to info@integrityworldwide.net. All prayers will be sent to one of Integrity’s Ugandan partners so they can be read during fellowship meetings for hope and encouragement.
Dear Friends,
I want you to know that I have seen your pictures and I think you are so very brave for allowing them to be posted publicly so people can pray for you. I want you to know I am praying for you and have friends and family that are praying for you, too. How can this be, that people around the world care enough to pray for each other and stand in faith with each other for all God has for them? This mystery is only answered in the love of Jesus. It is only through Him that we can be connected through His precious Holy Spirit, connected in a supernatural way, spirit to spirit, knowing each other even though we have never met.
I am in the medical profession so I know something about HIV/AIDS and the devastating effects it has on those who carry this diagnosis. I have some understanding of the rejection and stigma that goes with HIV/IDS and the damage it does, not just to the body but to the soul and spirit too.
My prayer is that you will know that you are eternally connected to and accepted by Jesus. I also pray for your complete physical healing. May God bless and keep each one of you.
